BREWING INSTRUCTIONS


Making the perfect cup of tea is an important self care ritual, involving correct water temperatures and brewing times. 

White Tea - Brew 1 teaspoon to 1 cup of 80 degrees water & infuse for 5-8 minutes, remove leaves & reuse multiple times.

Green Tea – Brew 1 teaspoon to 1 cup of 80 degrees water & infuse for 1-3 minutes, remove leaves & reuse multiple times.

Oolong Tea – Brew ½ -1 teaspoon to 1 cup of 90-95 degrees water & infuse for 3-5 minutes, remove leaves & reuse multiple times.

Matcha Tea – Whisk with a bamboo chasen ½ -1 flat teaspoon of matcha powder with 80 degrees water, & whisk until foamy & frothy.

Black Tea - Brew 1 teaspoon to 1 cup of boiling water & infuse for 1-4 minutes, depending on desired strength. Add milk/sugar/honey/lemon to taste.

Herbal Blends/Infusions - Brew 1 heaped teaspoon to 1 cup of boiling water & infuse for 5-8 minutes. The longer brewed, the stronger the flavour.

Fruit Blends - Brew 1 heaped teaspoon to 1 cup of boiling water & infuse for 5-8 minutes. The longer brewed, the stronger the flavour.

Iced Fruit Blends – Brew 2-3 heaped tablespoons in a 1 litre jug of cold water & leave in refrigerator overnight. Add mint leaves, citrus peel, frozen berries & ice.

Milky Chai – (stovetop method) – Brew 1-2 teaspoons of chai to 1 ½ cups of milk/soy/almond milk in a chai pot/small saucepan, & simmer on low for 6-8 minutes. Remove from heat, stand for 1-2 minutes & strain into cup. Alternatively, use ½ water & ½ milk for a less creamy chai.

Chai Latte Powder (hot) – Mix 1-2 teaspoons of chai powder to 320ml of hot water/hot milk & stir until dissolved.

Chai Latte Powder (cold) - Mix 1-2 teaspoons of chai powder to 100ml of hot water/hot milk & stir until dissolved. Top up with 220ml of ice water/cold milk & ice cubes.
